This is quite an old cover that asked
me to find information on wall lizards and even catch a fly to see the
details. Another curiosity: the hair on the fly's feet and my signature
were made with ball-point pen.

Cover on request for a German publisher,
with precise instructions. I really don't know why I was comissioned so,
maybe because there was a mini dragon... |
Syndication cover, made in 1973. In the
USA, and later Europe, stories on zombies and hard terror were then really
in fashion. They were published in magazines such as Heavy Metal and Creepy.
At the time, when painting a cover at your own, without previous order,
that could be afterwards offered to any publisher (this is called "syndication"
in the business), it was a good idea to choose these themes. |

Another variant of terror stories,
far more soft and with suspense strokes that were commonly called "gothic",
were also fashionable during the seventies. This is one of the few covers
I made on canvas.
