Painting horses is far more difficult
that painting dragons, I can assure so. Nobody can claim that the dragon
should have been there or that. This American cover obliged me to make
a dark horse face forwards, but I liked the results.

I feel an special affection for this
cover because I enjoyed a lot when drawing and painting it, from the first
moment. I even believe that such enjoyment, such state of mind, can be
felt when watching the picture: the spontaneity, the decision when applying
colour, ...

Commissioned American cover, spine and
back cover. The order compelled me to do my homework on the antique Celtic
culture.

The topic here was an avalanche of
huge rocks over the railway track. These rocks really appear in the published
book cover, but I was cautious enough to paint the rocks apart and stick
them on the original artwork with adhesive tape so that I could have it
transformed afterwards into an illustration.
