PAINTING A SEASCAPE

This is more or less the way I paint seascapes, although steps are not always the same. In the work shown here, maybe I had finished the sky in one session only but I wanted to show the possibilities of the process. The most important issue is to achieve water texture and, then, add resorts to avoid monotony.

1. Rough drawing of the composition

2. Selection of colors and first layer of painting

3. Work on the building and the steep applying textures

4. Apply color to water depending on the direction of surface. Special attention must be given to transparencies and to surf on the waves

5. Work on the cloudy sky and its reflection in the water.

6. Final details and illumination of the building
